We are always reminded of it, its all around us, so how can we make sure that it lasts? Helping the environment and working for a better cause is something so easy to do, yet so few of us actually do it! Simple tasks like recycling packaging can seem like a chore, but why not make it part of your routine and get into better habits?

With the state of todays society, we are using more and more natural sources than ever before, driving more cars over short distances and therefore damaging the more of the world thats around us. No one else can take care of it other than us.

By making changes to your day to day routine, you can make a difference. Get the kids interested and why not

 

try to involve friends and family to change their attitudes towards the environment as well. Use our tips below to motivate you and your household towards of healthier state of life.

  • Reuse water from showers and dishwashing on the garden.

  • Buy rechargeable batteries for appliances

  • Collect rainwater and use it outdoors or for flushing the toilet

  • Reuse carrier bags for the weekly shopping, or give them back to the store on your next visit for recycling.

  • Install low flow taps and shower heads.

  • Choose water efficient appliances.

  • Make your own compost from kitchen waste

  • Install an inexpensive drip irrigation system and a tap timer.

  • Donate unwanted furniture/clothes and equipment to charity shops

  • Thickly mulch garden beds to reduce the need to water.

  • Use bottle banks wherever available

  • Try to cut down your use of the car, if it’s nearby then just walk.

  • Construct your garden to reduce water and fertiliser run-off.
