restaurants - is the 'power lunch' dead?

The power lunch has now become a relic of the last century, consigned to the dustbin of history, along with big shoulder pads and hefty filofaxes. It's not because lunch and power don't mix, in fact if you enter any decent restaurant at lunch time, it's usually full of suits hoping to use great food and a glass of good wine to help lubricate their latest deals. So while the power lunch is gone it's only because no one dares to speak it's name. The fact is business still does lunch.

Venues for the modern business lunch vary, depending upon the impact that we want to make. For instance If we want to impress someone with our plush offices then buffet catering in the conference room is a good place to start. However if the aim is to relax a client into fruitful

conversation then going to a good restaurant can't be beaten.

Remember though it's not the lunch but the company that's the most important factor in impressing to win. Nothing beats the human touch for creating a good rapport. Building good relationships is the key to developing leads into great new business. Nobody is going to spend thousands of pounds or give you great trading terms just because you bought them lunch. So what you always need to do is project something that will encourage them to use you, whether it's a piece of information or the way you project yourself.

You can buy catering supplies, a range of beverages and food from worklifehome!
