Never underestimate the importance of envelopes to the image of your business. Worklifehome stocks a wide variety of envelopes in various sizes, colors and weights. There are also a number of additional features that you might like to think about before choosing the right envelope for your needs, included type of seal, window and security.
Size
Dl Envelopes - A4 folded into 3rds. Ideal for single sheet correspondence.
DL stands for dimensions lengthwise and measures 220mm x 110mm. Being a little larger than 1/3 A4 they are ideal for A4 letters folded 2 to 3 eqal sections. However be aware that letters folded in this way sometimes appear unprofessional, especially when they enclose more than 2 pages.
C5 Envelopes - A4 folded in half. Ideal for Multiple A4 sheets.
C5 enveloes measure 22.9cm by 16.2cm. They are mainly used for correspondence that is over 2 pages in length and for the mailings of A5 literature.
C4 Envelopes - A4
C4 envelopes measure 32.4cm by 22.9cm and are ideal for any A4 document that should not be folded.
Envelope Seal
Gummed
These envelopes typically have to be licked to seal.
Self Sealing
This seal is now the most common. Both the flap and the envelope have strips of glue that seal against each other when pressed together. It is easier than licking and forms a mire secure bond.
Peel & Seal
On peel and seal envelopes the glue is protected by a plastic strip which when removed exposes the glue ready to seal. This type of seal is the most secure of all.
Window or Plain
Envelopes with windows have a plastic display panel through which an address can be read. This envelope presents a professional image to your mail although it does lack the personal touch of a handwritten address.
Weight
Envelopes are weighted in exactly the same way as paper. Typically they are 80g or 90g but to create the best impression a 100g of 125g envelope is best.
