C5 envelopes are 229mm x 162mm (9" x 63/8") in size, can hold an A4 sheet folded once or an unfolded A5 sheet.  These envelopes are sometimes referred to as an A5 envelope and are used mainly for letterhead correspondence, general mailing bills, receipts, miscellaneous marketing and sales material.
